We have a large orchard of pears that continues to improve with age. Red Bartlett and tasty Magness are favorites.
Pears (like many fruits) are best enjoyed just when they begin to soften. So be sure to store your pears in a paper bag while you wait for them to soften. The warmer their environment, the more quickly they will soften.
